How to make this effect?? =]

Hi all,
Ok have a look at this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3EJP5ugfYc) video first,
Ok, ok I know its Basshunter, but im only using that vid as an example of the effect. So anyway at about 6 - 8 seconds into the song, the vocals pitch increases and seems to stretch. And then it goes into a bassline with kick. Probably simple to do, but i can't seem to get it. Any suggestions?:confused:

Well first off, you could obviously stretch a piece of audio to make it longer, but to make that inclined effect on the pitch, you might want to try some live audio recording.

I'm not sure if it's possible in Fruity Loops, although it would be really helpful if it is, but some programs let you record audio from a track that's playing into another track live. While that track is playing, it would be possible to slowly raise the pitch knob up or down while the audio is recording and then you will have that stretched piece of audio with the pitch raise in it's own audio clip!
