I have a small studio using Logic Gold 5, on a high-end Toshiba Laptop running Windows unfortunatly (XP)... the Edirol
UA-5 seems to be a fairly inviting USB audio interface within that price range... so, come on talk me out of buying it...

Yeah, looks pretty sweet. Pretty much what I'm looking for, however specs arent everything... do you own one of these, or have u had experience with them i.e. A/D D/A converter quality, latency, compability?

Among other cards I have a Terratec 6fireLT PCI card and the drivers are incredable.
Asio at 65 samples playing 16 tracks with effects!
It uses an Envy24 chip.
Interesting article on this card at: http://www.digit-life.com/articles2/terratecdmx6fire/index.html
The Phase series is new - may not even be availabe just yet so they will certainly have the latest converters.
Just noticed - I think it only has one micrphone input which is a dissadvantage.
