Hello all,
I have a DAW in the computer room and I am connecting it to the stereo/TV in the living room / listening room / movie room.....the chilling room I suppose.
Anyhow, I am running 2 cables, 1 is from the coax out on my m-audio 2496 and the other is form the TV out on a parhelia (matrox) AGP video card. Both these cables are coax of RG-59 or better.
The problem is a line noise. This noise occurs because the computer is using a different circuit breaker than the stereo in the other room. I was told (last time I tried this step-up) that if you put both on the same power line that the noise would go away. So, I tried it, and that is correct. The problem is that this is not practical in my house and they are in different rooms. I could run an extension cord but then I will be pushing a lot out of one circuit breaker...maybe too much (2 computers, space heater, 4 monitors, amps, subwoofers, and the stereo rig with a big amp, receiver, tv, sub, etc).
So, I think I need some type of line isolator to couple the 2 set-ups. That is, some thing that would go in-line with the coax cables (digital and TV).
Thanks for time and any ideas would be great!
