Firebox Volume(no response)

whats goin on. i went to record yesterday an when i pluged my speaker cable in i didnt hear the track that was already playing. so naturally i turnd the sound up a lil bit an still nothing. wheni turnd the volume up on my speakers to the max i could barely hear the beat that was playing. i went to check my volume on the firebox an it does not respond i turnit up nothign i turn it down nothing. could someone be of assistance.

i run a 2-1 cable out of ports 1 an 2 the main volume ports on the firebox.

i have another cable that goes from the 2-1 into my woofer.

i have altec lansing speakers (4120x series or something)

(p.s.)

im pretty sure its my firebox volume that is the problem mabey a burnt out transistor or something on the main volume knob because my speakers play fine when i run them back through my computer soundcard.

If anyone might kno of a way to re-route the audio so i dont have to ahve any speakers plugged into the firebox but leave my speakers plugged into my soundcard lemme kno.

Your speakers might be expecting digital output of some kind, like what is typical from a consumer gaming/music card. Have you ever been able to hear audio from your firebox on these speakers. What kind of 2-1 cable are you using (What connectors are on either end?).

everything worked fine for the last year. then suddenly its just stopped produceing sound. i still get very low sound which makes it hard recording. it must be the firebox ive ran through everything imaginable. im sendin it in tommorw.

If anyone could assist me in the process to send back equpiment to presonus. please let me kno. i ordered this pre amp with a recording package off of musiciansfriend.com it has a 1 year warranty on all presonus parts so i have till roughly april to send it back im gettin dicked around with presonus an its not making me happy. if someone could help me out a lil bit more it would be appreciated.
