Hello

Thankyou for everyones help so far.

I am going to remain patient this time. sorry.

I have a properly installed and working E-MU 0202 Usb 2.0

Woohoo

The only problem is no sample rate is displayed on the control panel... and when i try to use cubase LE or any other software, i try and pick the E-MU 0202 ASIO driver, but it comes up with an "Audio Engine error" if memory serves well... In general it doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Regards and Thanks

Jamie

I was wondering, has anyone have similar problems...

And is there possibly a way of resolving it without reinstallation?

Is the E-MU the only soundcard installed?

From what I know the original ASIO drivers for E-MU are not good. Did you install the ones from the CD / package or have you updated already? Here (http://www.emu.com/support/) you can check for updates. Even if updated I would severely question their reliability.

I have also heard there are a few so-called beta drivers available. You can try them, but if you do it is at your own risk. The ones from the official support area are supposedly "stable".

To add for you what itsplayed is asking (and what I suspect he is asking): if you have another soundcard installed and active, it is possible both cards / interfaces conflict. Disabling the unused one possibly helps.

Another thing is to try WDM Kernel Streaming instead of ASIO.

Having used and built for others, quite a few DAWs around the E-MU line of cards, I'd have to say that the drivers get a very bad rap because of some issues on certain systems upon E-MUs inception.
Since then, E-MU drivers have been nothing short of solid.....That said, improvements are always welcome.

I should have been more specific in my query. The E-MU cards do take exception to other Creative products already installed.
However, it's still best to uninstall any soundcard in place before installing a pro/semi pro audio interface. If you wish to use multiple audio devices, re-install the consumer unit afterward.
