hi there

im trying to record MIDI but the huge latency wont let me get it right
how do i change and make the right settings in order to play and listen to the piano at the same time?

and by the way - what do i choose as in and out on the midi tracks on cubase?
the only option that works right now is to choose for out: MICROSOFT GS WAVETABLE SW SYNTH
and the option for IN is delta AP MIDI
is that alright?

thanx!!

Before launching Cubase, lower the buffer from the M-Audio control panel. Then launch Cubase. Most ASIO applications (like Cubase) won't let you change the buffer while the application is running. Also, in Cubase, make sure you're using the M-Audio Delta ASIO driver.

The output for your MIDI track needs to be whatever is going to generate the sound. I haven't used Cubase for a while, but when I did, you load up the VST instrument you want to play, then you can choose it as the output for your MIDI track.
