Hi,

I've been spending hours on top of hours in the past few weeks trying to find the right sound card for my laptop. I've been given so much conflicting advice, I was hoping someone will help me a little.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1501, AMD Processor, 1 Ghz RAM, 80 GB, less than a year old and I just got Ableton and I want to get started. I've been running off the motherboard, and that defintely doesn't work.

I was looking for a sound card for either USB or Firewire that had the following:

* ASIO
* MIDI
* 4 inputs, 4 outputs
* if USB, then USB 2.0
* HAS DRIVERS AND WORKS FOR VISTA!
* Preferably under $200

So far, the only thing I've found that fits this is the Edirol FA-66 but its a wee bit more that I would like to pay for (279.99 on amazon, 500 normally)

Is this my best option? Thanks.

Wait, so M-Audio has drivers for the Delta series? Great, I had no idea.
