I upgraded from windows me to windows xp sp2. My audio was working after the upgrade. I was using msn messenger to communicate over the internet. The last time the audio worked was when I tried MS netmeeting. I have since uninstalled netmeeting and installed several different drivers, avance, realtek, ect. No help. The speakers work when connected to a laptop I have. When I try to play an MP3 in musicmatch jukebox, I get the error- WaveOut format not supported. Everything is greyed out. In device manager everything shows as working properly. Bios is enabled. Here is the everest log:

Try updating the drivers for the soundcard using the WinXP install disk.

Go into the device manager and right click on the soundcard, select update driver, when asked if Windows can connect to the internet to look for drivers choose "No, not at this time"....next. In the following menu select "install the software automatically(recommended)...next.

Do you show a speaker icon on the taskbar?

There should be no reason for XP not to recognize and install the drivers for your on-board soundcard.

Try uninstalling the MusicMatch software.
Then try unistalling the soundcard and rebooting.
Allow Windows to re-install the soundcard, then re-install the MusicMatch software.
