I'll make this short and sweet as I can only provide an initial critique of this unit as I have just proceeded to put it into use.
That said, thusfar, the unit works as advertised.....it is quiet and of course it is dirt cheap....no complaints here as of yet. If things do go awry, I'll repost with an updated report. So far, this little box gets a big thumbs up.

I'm currently using it as a link to an E-MU 1212M and a Blaster card on a multi-boot recording/gaming/multimedia rig to switch between audio cards/speaker sets (A/B/C with C sporting a sub) when going from task to task and also as a headphone amp. (Bonus: plugging headphones in, does not kill signal to the monitors)
I haven't checked out all the features to the box yet(ie. talkback, remote switch, etc.) but if those features work half as well as the rest do(or even not at all), then the box is worth the money......even if it does die in a years time!

I have this unit also, and I simply love it! I've had it for quite some time, with no problems whatsoever.
It is a monitor matrix; you can A/B different sets of monitors, control levels, have a talkover with the booth, etc... it has a dedicated headphones out to run to your headphone mixer if you have one, or just your phones.
Basically, it goes inline between your monitors and your sound interface outputs, and like he said, its very quiet, and transparent, not coloring the sound to your monitors .
I was going to get the PreSonus Central Station at first... It seems to do the exact same thing for about $450 more. But, I decided to try this first. I have found absolutely no reason to upgrade, as of yet.
The only thing that I really have to complain about is that it doesn't come in a rack mount unit, and I have yet to find a rack adapter.
For the price, you cant go wrong... forget what the Behringer haters say! lol
