Hey all, new to the group , not new to audio. I recently got a DSL connection and noticed that it was causing audio dropouts. I trouble shot the crap out of my crappy onboard soundmax soundcard as well as my handy Tascam US428. Crazy thing is.. everything is fine if I unplug the DSL connection but once its plugged in the dropouts are back. This happens in all programs from VLC to Winamp to Itunes on any format of audio / video. I know the one solution: unplug it but was wondering if anyone else has encountered this.

Welcome to the forums duophonic,
Are you using the on-board(motherboards) LAN device for the DSL connection or an add-in card?
Have you looked in the device manager for any issues?
Have you looked to see if the soundcard and LAN device are sharing IRQs?
Try to uninstall all wasteful software which come with DSL package.
