Welcome to the forums Bud, I'm not familiar with the software, but I don't see why it wouldn't be. What are the specs for your laptop and does the software state any minimum requirements for the computer?
What issues(if any) are you facing in trying to run/load the software?

Hi, Bud !
I'm the owner of a super Recall 40 and I'm using it with the Showtime software. Showtime will ONLY work with DOS 6.0 or 6.22. It NEVER will work with any flavor of windows. By the way, another issue with a laptop is that if your laptop's got a integrated graphic card with the numa system (part of the memory of the laptop is used by the graphic card), it will NEVER function due to the use of the first segment of the memory by Showtime.

So, I'm not using windows at all, but Linux. The trick is to use a Virtual PC running DOS or FreeDos inside your windows installation so that Showtime can use this very first segment of the virtual PC memory , and then use the fake COM1 of the virtual PC to send and receive messages to / of your console.

It works with VmWare (but this is slow...) and I'm trying now with VirtualBox (Free Software) which I prefer, but I've got problems with the installation of FreeDos.

Another way with Linux this time, is to use FreeDos in conjunction with XDosemu (don't know if Dosemu exists for windows), which is a light machine emulator for DOS. Beware that the configuration is tricky !

So, virtualisation is the tip! Personally, I've got an good old 486 in my rack with 16 Mo. (4 Mo is sufficient)
