I can't say anything about comparing them, but I have an Evolution MK249C and am quite happy with it. It is great as both an instrument (ie to play soft synths),a nd as a control surface for mixing, controlling various SONAR parameters.

I'm interested in opinions on this, too.
Please include comments on keyboard feel, touch sensitivity response, and durability.

I had my mind set on the Maudio Radium (61 keys, 8 knobs, 8 faders...) but then I saw a mag featuring an Edirol with... 49 keys, 8 knobs and 8 faders!!! (minus a couple of keys...but I'm a guitar man anyway).
I guess it comes down to how good are the drivers for each, customer service, bug "freeness" (I know, I made it up myself!!!).
As an owner of an Delta66... I think I would trust Edirol/Roland a wee bit more.
Sugestions... Opinions anyone???????
Thanks,
One important difference is the memory that retains the MIDI parameters assignment (rotary knobs and/or faders), this is permanent in evolution and edirol controllers while is not permanent in Midiman products. I am checking with midiman to understand if there is analternative solution.
This feature is important because if you use the controller as a controlling surface (i.e. for mixing parameters or programming softsynth) you need to assign different parameters for each instrument you want to control. So a permanent memory or, as an alternative, a way to store parameters settings is a must.

Thanks usul!
That's one more point in favor of the Edirol thingy.
I've never used any of these toys so it wil be a first for me. Heck, I can't even play a chord on a keyboard! Shouldn't be to hard thou...
Wonder if my guitar will get jealous...

I'm not sure if you will get the response you are after. People usually only invest in 1 midi controller then move on. It's possible but shops don't usually set them up and perhaps not many people have most midi controllers available to them to compare keys.
Hei Cyanide stop to take HCN, I do not pretend people to buy 2 controllers and then compare them I just hope people will tell me their comments about pros and cons of the controller they put their hands on.
regards
