Ok here's the deal I've got an amd athalon 64 3200+ pc
with 1 gig of ram, a behringer fca202 firewire interface,
I'm using Cubase sx3. I got all the background crap in windows xp pro sp3 turned off while recording.
the problem is i'm getting pops and crackles during playback that are apparantly not recorded because they are not there if i export the tracks and listen to them thru another app. I've yet to record more than 3 or 4 tracks in a project yet as i'm just starting to learn how to do this recording thing. It seems if i loop a track as i do if i'm tweaking effects,eq or compression the more it plays the worse the noise gets until finally it just starts squealing like feedback and I have to reload cubase and start over??? Also my performance meter never really moves any higher than 30% or so? any ideas or help will be sincerely appreciated
