Hi,

a few weeks ago, I bought an M-audio oxygen 49 usb midi controller. the main problem is, I can't get the thing to work!
I've tried everything:
- update drivers
- update windows
- update mainboard
- reïnstall windows
- bought new PCI card for USB
- deleted all USB hubs in the device manager
- disabled USB legacy support
- repeated everything as actual admin
- ...

every time I get the same message when I plug it in: " USB device is not recognized". I've tried it on another PC and there it works fine from the first time... I don't know what to do anymore!

Any help is more than welcome!

Was your new PCI recognized correctly? What is your motherboard?
M-Audio keyboards should work without drivers; have you tried it?

My PCI was recognized dorrectly. I have an MSI KT4-AV motherboard.
I've also tried it without installing the drivers first, but is just doesnt work.

I think the main problem is, that the display on the keyboard keeps blinking. Everytime is blinks, windows tells me the device is disconnected. When windows sees it as reconnected it's not recognized...

M-Audio keyboards are powered directly from USB and blinking means your Oxygen 49 is not powered correctly. It can be caused by VIA chipset or maybe your power supply is overloaded by peripherals.
What can be done? You said you have updated motherboard, what do you mean? Have you tried to upgrade both firmware and drivers? Depending on OS that is used, USB 2.0 drivers can require to be installed manually. At last try to run your keyboard using external power supply.
Wish your problem will be solved soon.

I've tried to upgrade firmware, drivers, BIOS, via chipset drivers,...
I'll try the external supply I guess...

You can also try to disconnect some of your devices – CD-ROM for example.
