I've just got myself an Edirol FA-66 Interface and unfortunately they don't come bundled with any software.
I was thinking of using Cubase with it....? .....any suggestions from other Edirol users....? .....or from anyone for that matter... :)
Thanks
Johnny

This is a general purpose soundcard. Its use isn’t limited to any particular recording program and it won’t do better with one program than with another. Whatever you use should depend on what you intend to do. Some programs are primally aimed at capturing audio from the real world and massaging it into a great finished product for CD, DVD, etc., some get involved to a much greater extent in electronic music, producing part of your production on the computer. A clearer ‘business plan’ is likely to lead to more profitable software investments. (I didn’t see an hint of the existence of Vista drivers on the Roland website.)

I cannot get the Edirol FA-66 to work on Vista. It is recognized by the OS and by Sonar Producer but no audio data is received by the computer.
Anybody have experience with this interface on Vista?

I went about 5 months without recording just waiting until drivers were created for Vista...but I've grown impatient, so I've basically given up trying to do anything audio wise on my computer...so I've set up shop elsewhere using somebdoy else's XP operated computer....

Interesting comment... although I'm not sure how that helps the technical hurdle i'm working on.
Anybody else have any ideas?

I use Cubase (studio 4) quite frequently (not at home) and I much prefer Sonar, it's more stable, faster, more intuitive, and not bright blue. And Audiosnap is the Best Thing Ever.
