XLR plug stuck in firepod

Can anyone offer me advice on how to get an XLR plug that is stuck in my firepod out.

The release button seems to move freely, the plug just won't budge!

A bit of persistent jiggling got it out. The connector was bent a little where the latch goes into the little hole. A quick repair to the bent hole resulted in the metal breaking off, so the latch doesn't hold the connector in any more. Oh well, at least it won't get stuck in the firepod (or anything else) again.
