M-Audio Duo USB soundcard ASIO Latency...

Hi guys!
I'd like to buy a M-Audio Duo USB soundcard to use it with my Asus 2460, but I have a question: What is the latency possible with an USB soundcard ?
The Duo supports ASIO drivers and I'd like to use it to play guitar with Amplitube in real-time, first with Nuendo and then with Samplitude 7.0 (which will support ASIO).
My Asus runs with 256 MB ram and AMD ATHLON 1.2 GH

Latencys are doing to 7ms. I use Amplitube and i can get the latency down enough to not notice any lag.

And that is on a 1500 Athlon HP laptop.
