I've got the C-Port which has 8ins/8outs which I would like to use as an external effects router. At the moment, I can do it by putting a compressor's inputs from the c-ports "Ouputs 3/4" and the compressors outputs to the c-ports "Inputs 3/4". Then, in the cubase master mixer, I rename BUS2 to EXTCOMP and change the output down the bottom to "Output 3/4". Then, on the channel I want to compress, I change it's outputs to EXTCOMP instead of MASTER and that's it! Problem is I need to monitor the compressors outputs on another channel. What I want is to just insert it just like I would for a plugin, but it's external. Can this be done?
