As more audio tracks I have, more clicks and pops I get.
Iīm using
-pIII 750
-128 Mb ram
-Delta 44
-Nuendo
-Gigastudio
I heard something increase the DMA buffer size, but when I do that, everthing (samples and audio) starts to sound horrible, with distortion.
Pls help.
its looking like your taxing your system. If you ONLY have 128 megs with a PIII 750 and you using Giga AND Nuendo...... You just might needs more computer.
Look at the recomended specs of Giga. Its stout.
Do you get pops and click with a couple of audio track. With out runnning Giga and no plug in running?

Thanks Sui!!,
I suspected that, however, even when Iīm leasing Mp3, I have (ocasionally) clicks and pops.....
What do you recommend me? to upgrade up to PIV or load with 512 with PIII.
There is a considerable difference between both options (usd 50.00 vs usd 300.00)
If you told me that with 512 I wonīt have problems, to me it is enought (for now)

First check that you've got the latest drivers for your system - a lot of pop/click problems can be caused by driver issues - especially soundcard, graphics, modem/network devices.
You shouldn't be getting this just from playing an MP3 with your system.
What OS are you using? The other thing to check is to see if your soundcard is sharing IRQs with other system devices - this can be a bad thing and can cause dropouts as other devices are accessed.
Cheers,
Dan
Those Delta cards are notorious for pops and clicks. I had to sell mine to cure the problem.

I have Delta 44 and the sound quality is stunning! No pops and clicks at all. Im running it with 5ms latency.

Ditto - no problems with mine, but I know there were some issues with some of the older drivers so always worth checking the version.

HOLD ON!!!!
There are two drivers currently for the delta series. One of them (27's) is for music production and the other driver (31) is for consumer applications. If you read the install info it states that the 31 beta are to fix a problem with something called a ravisent plug in for window's media.
Tech support explained that there Delta 410 is used alot for HTPC ( home theater PC) and there was a problem with the losing of sync between audio and video with the 27 drivers. The 31's solve this problem. BUT the side affect is that you get much higher latency with WDM application. So, You can not get the 5 ms(Cakewalk stats that you can get as low as 2ms with the Delta's) like tnt97 is seeing (that is if he/she is using Sonar).
If you are getting Pops and clicks while using an mp3 player then the first thing i would do is to look at your irq list. This is starting to sound like a hardware conflict than a slow machine. The Delta (as well as every other sound card made) needs to be on its own IRQ. IF it is sharing with something that has more proiroity that audio( like USB, Video, SCSI, NIC cards) then you are going to see the delta gettting the raw end of the deal by seeing more and more resources go to other devices and getting less attention to the CPU. Whcih will results in pops and clicks. If you find out you are sharing then you are going to need to swap the slot of the card until the delta shows up on its own IRQ. And that Win98 all the way to XP. Although XP does have some different issues which i will neot go into until this approuch does not work.
So my advice is to fist see your IRQ list and if you are sharing you are going to need to do the ols push and oull.

So as I said earlier http://www.audioforums.com/forums/wink.gif
- first check you're using the latest drivers (released drivers, not the betas)
- then check your soundcard is not sharing IRQs
- tell us what OS you're using

I use Windows ME. I really donīt have idea what mobo I use. I hope I wonīt have to change the slots, because I donīt have more free slots.
Pls let me know where I find the IRQ detail.
