Cardbus vs. Firewire?

I've been looking at layla/mona and multiface (cardbus) as well as firestation ond 828 (firewire). Relative quality aside, does anyone know which interface is faster?

i'm pretty sure cardbus is faster - it would seem so from the relative latencies you get with each system...

PC-CARD/PCMCIA has the same bandwidth as PCI (100Mbytes/sec and higher)

Firewire is only 400Mbits/sec or 50Mbytes/sec
