I have an Aardvark DP 24/96, and also a cheap SB compatible sound card.

The latter, works fine with the media players I've used.

But when I select the DP24/96, not all the functions work. So I'd like to know whether it's supposed to be that way or there's some way around it:

When I used Winamp I could get the EQ to work, but the volume and balance controls had no effect.

Now that I use QCD Player I can't get even the EQ to work.

I've also tried another mp3 player that presented the same issues as Winamp.

Can anybody help?

Thanks,

LC

It's probably because the SB uses the mixer that's built in Windows and the Aardvrak has its own mixer/control panel.

if you're working with winXP/2K, there's an issue with the WMP, just go to Aardvark's web-site and download the patch from the driver's page.

I'm using Win98SE.
At first I figured it was supposed to be that way for the reason Boom pointed out.

But I thought I'd ask just to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

It's not that big of a deal, anyway.

Thanks
