View Full Version : Help with Cabling and audio type?

I am currently trying to hook up my Digital Coax Output into a AC3 input, and i was wondering, if it is possible.. also I am have tried using a high quality video cable as well as RCA audio cables, do I need to buy the digital coax cables?,

You can get away with using a regular RCA cable for an S/PDIF connection, but it will present an impedance mismatch, and could cause problems such as increased jitter. Best to use a proper 75 ohm cable.
Not sure on the first question, but it sounds like you're trying to go from S/PDIF to AC3?
