Hey guys,

I've just bought an MBox2 mini, which comes with Reason 3, adapted for pro tools, which I understand is a not quite full version of Reason 3. Am I allowed to use this version to make songs which I can claim as my own? Are there any copywrights on the sounds etc?

I formerly have used Fruity Loops for my synths, which I've been told is fine to use for your owns songs, I was just wondering if Reason is the same.

Thanks,

Jesse

ps: does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for Reason 3?

Copyrights in this scenario include the sounds themselves. It's the sample library and the software code that carries the actual copyright. Use of the software/sounds is freely permitted.

In other words, you CANNOT take the sounds as they are, one by one, and present them as your own. You CAN use the sounds in an original composition (or a cover, given the appropriate permissions are in place) with no problems.
