Cool Edit Pro problem...

It shuts down while scanning the effects. After intalling an upgraded version, I can't even get into it anymore. Anyone ever had this problem that could maybe help?

It could be that it doesn't like a particular effect. Try moving all of your plugins to a different folder, launch Cool Edit with no plugins, and see what happens. if it works, add them backone by one until you find the one that caused problems.

My first thought to that was, "I tried that." But then I realized I'd only done it with my directx and vst's. I moved all the .flt files and now things are working smoothly. Thanks a lot, dude, for opening my eyes... and my multi-track recording software.

Hi! First of all thank you for this forum!
I have a problem with cool edit pro... I reopen a multitrack project I was working on it, but I found all tracks in different positions where I record them. Now the whole song is a complete mess... Is that a known problem? There is something that can I do to recover the previous time positions of my tracks?! Thank you so much!
