Error ID = 0xC00D11BA, Condition ID = 0x00000000 !!!!!!

Looks familiair????

I get this when I want to play audio over my laptop using wmp. I tried renewing drivers, directX et cetera. I tried it on my onboard soundcard & on my M audio Ozone external usb card. Nothing!!!

Also if I check Audio properties it says that there is no device connected.
In my Device manager everything seems to be fine. no warnings at all, drivers are functioning bla bla etcetera.

The strange thing is when I start up cubase I have no problems with playback at all. (internal card & erternal card work perfectly)

Weird isn't it!!!

I hope one of you grate people can help me out. Although i have this laptop pure for producing it would be nice to watch a movie on the road or listen to some music someotimes.

Many greetings from a smokey Amsterdam

Dogo

Try this.....open Windows media player, go to Tools > Options and select the Devices tab. Highlight the Speakers icon and click the Properties button.

Where it says, 'Audio Device to Use', try changing to 'Default Direct Sound Device'. If that is already chosen, select your soundcard from the dropdown list.

Hope this helps and welcome to the forum Dogo.

Have you tried uninstalling the onboard soundcard within the device manager and rebooting the system?
