Oh yeah, especially excellent since it's freeware... Also check-out Krystal Audio Engine to get your feet wet...

Krystal Audio Engine looks better than Audacity, but i'm on a Mac!!!
anything else like that for Mac?

I don't know of anything freeware, but Peak and Peak LE are the leading 2-channel editors for Mac.

Not that I'm aware of, but I'm just a little tiny bit of info here... You could try a google...

Audacity does do multi-track, sort-of. Look in the help file.

yeah i'd go Pro Tools for that kind of money...was thinking along the lines of freeware.
