I just pick out a new guitar schecter c-1 hellraiser. I was wondering if I could hook it up to the firebox and feed it out threw a set of head phones with out useing my computer. Oh and by the way I give the firebox two thumbs up as well two toes:) :) :) :)

Most sound interfaces are a lump of dead silicon when the computer is off.

That's why I when with a Motu (an 828mkII) on my PC laptop. Works great even when the computer is off or I can even gig with it in my portable rack....

You can use the FireBox stand alone in a limited fashion. Input 1 goes to Output 1, Input 2 goes to output 2. But if you're just trying to use it as a pre or a DI, it'll do the trick.

thanks for the input. I just wanted to use it to practice on my guitar with out being tied to the computer. It didn't work very well for that. any ways my podxt live solve that for me quite nicely.
