Can ethier of the units apply compression or d-ess when recording mikes in real time, like an extneral rack. thanks... Nelson

I think the D1600 allows bussing so that you can apply effects in realtime while recording with the option of either recording the track with the effects, or recording the track dry, using the effects for 'inspiration' only.
