spdif convertors bit resolution

Is it possible to record from my wamibox spdif outs (20bit convertors) to my waveterminal 2496 spdif in (24bit)?

Dont think so, but why would you want to?
You'd only be introducing needless conversion errors with no possible improvement.
What you'd do is record it as a 20bit file and then convert in software if you must.

no, what i try to do is to bring out finale songs (manliy 44khz 16bit files by the way)from my laptop to my big computer where I can master it, my question is HOW much will I lose by such transfer?

Ahh sorry, misread it.
Sure you can transfer them like this, you'll have to find out if your wave terminal can do bit for bit transfers, I'd expect it to be able to, its a pretty good card. If it can you wont lose anything and even if it doesnt you still probably wont lose anything that you will ever notice.
