Tascam 788 MP3

Hi Gang!

James here from Washington state. I just purchased a Tascam 788 digital multi-track recorder w/optional CD burner. I have 0 recording experience. Within 6 hours of receiving the unit via UPS i had my first song recorded to CD. I'm not particularly proud of the mix...and I didn't use any of the internal effects the unit offers.

i'm totally stoked when guys have good vibes with new gear. other than digital i/o capabilities i think you got a machine as good as the roland 890 for 600 less. sometimes i get in a nofx mood myself.

Thanks for the "vibes!" I'm SO stoked. I did a lot of research before i made the purchase. I put the 788 in the middle of the pack as far as features go. But the 24 bit sound quality, 6.1 GB hard drive, and ease of operation made it my choice for the next few years. Thanks again for the post!
