Hi all! The names Jon and i have an extremely irritating problem :)
I have got my firepod! YAY! But.....
I am having huge trouble getting windows to recognise it as a usable sound card in sound properties. I go through the installation process as told in the manual and everything seems to be ok. The Presonus control panel is fine and its aware when i turn the interface on and off. I can see the firepod in device manager and even in Sounds and audio device properties, under the hardware section. However, it just isn't usable! The sync light is always red apart from the brief moment on power up.
I really am stuck on what to try next, so any help would be absolutely top! Thanks alot. Jon.
Spec btw-
Gigabyte GA - K8NF-9 Mobo
1 gig memory
A64 3000+
Nvidia 6600 GT
XP pro with SP2 installed (With the firewire patch for SP2)
I have tried both the drivers on the CD and the later version from the internet with the same results.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you. :)
