Hello, im new on this forum. Ive been reading a lot of posts from different forums, even this one, and i just cant find a solution.

My problem seems to be a very common one:confused: , i purchased my presonus firebox a few months ago and ive been recording since then, everything was so beatiful, but 2 days ago something just happened, the sync light turned red and doesnt want to flash blue again. As many people, i tried to reinstall the firebox drivers and nothing, i checked my firewire ports and they works perfect with other devices(HD), i entered in presonus.com and i follow the steps on the Firebox FAQ section and nothing, Tryed different cables and nothing.

It seems that the problem its on the unit not on the drivers, not quiet sure, i definitly hope im wrong, because i dont live in the states and dont have any warranty. Many people just easily send the unit back to presonus to get fix it.

Please i need technical help here, i need my firebox back on work.

THANXXX A LOT:D

Did you read the No more sync!!! (http://www.audioforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15653) link just below this? If so, have you checked your firewire port? Does it work?

By "hd", you mean digital video camera, that should use quite a bit of bandwidth for a good test... Is the transferred video good, no errors?

Can you remove the firebox drivers and software from the computer? (be sure and back-up all your projects and audio before you do so....) Shutdown the computer completely, and then do a cold-boot without the firebox plugged in. Then re-install per the owner's manual. If you've already done that, be sure you start a dialog of one form or another with PreSonus tech support.

If you've got XP SP2, be sure and install the firewire update (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885222) at Microsoft. Also, be sure and turn off any anitvirus, spyware or firewall stuff. Be sure you've got the firewire cable fully connected, and that it's a good cable. Do a "Start", "Control Panel", "Network Connections" and you should see your 1394 connection. Right-click and 'enable' it if necessary. You'll probably have to re-install the firebox again.

Sorry I stand corrected, still the same should be under warranty. I hope the next one is a better one.
