firebox latency issues

i am using a presonus firebox on a new 17" mac book pro and logic pro ver 7. i am having latency issues only when recording audio tracks. there isn't a latency issue when recording and playing back midi though. i have tried changing the buffer size and relaunching logic but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using the Firebox's DSP Mixer to monitor your inputs?

yes I am. there isn't a lag during recording monitoring only during playback. it seems like there is a delay during the writing of the files to disk. i have been dragging the files back in the arrangement window to get them to sync up but that is very time consuming and annoying.

I've never seen this issue before personally. Let me check with some of the guys tomorrow (Monday) and see if I can get some more information for you.

This is a very uncommon problem, but try this:
1. Open the Audio MIDI Setup application.
2. Select Audio Device.
3. Set "Properties for:" to 'Device'. If it's already set to 'Device', set to 'Mac' and then back to 'Device'.
4. Disconnect the Firebox from the computer.
5. Restart the computer.
6. Once computer reboots, connect Firebox to your computer and test again.

Let me know if this doesn't resolve the issue.
