Hi folks,
I'm thinkng of purchasing an M-Audio MicroTrack 24/96 unit. I basically want to use it to record electric guitar and bass parts. Can anyone tell me what is the recommended way to connect guitars and basses to this unit for recording? I've read that it accepts 1/4" TRS connections, so does this rule out using instrument cables? Do I have to use a DI for connection? Also, which operating recording mode would I set the L/M/H switch to? I've also read that it doesn't record in mono (to a stereo wav file). Is this still true?
