Hi everyone,
I'm a windows user and am contemplating picking up an external usb sound interface...
Does anyone know if the FastrackPro or Mobile Pre can work in Windows without drivers? (background: I have an external usb sound card now - and it used the 'built in' usbsound drivers windows XP has) I realize the asio drivers are probably better for some uses, but for my intended purpose (Acoustical room measurements) I'd like to avoid adding drivers to the laptop.
Lastly, are there any other products I should consider. Ideally, it would have both analog and digital out and it would be even better if the digital out was optical (again for the intended purpose, not trying to start a debate of which format is actually better)
