I got an M-Audio Delta Series Omni I/O from my church but I don't really know what to do or what I need with it. The only thing other than the station that I got was the manual. I have windows xp and I'm not even sure if I can use it with that. Also, my computers sound card won't work with cakewalk sonar for some reason so I was hoping I could use this to record on there. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thank you,
Taylor

You need a multi-track soundcard. Your device feeds the soundcard. It is intended to be used with the Delta 44 or Delta 66 cards, but probably can be used with any line-in to ADC.

All the I/O is manage via the Delta breakout cable. I suppose you could make a cable to work with another sound card, but seems like more effort than it's worth. Pick up a Delta 44 or a Delta 66. These are really excellent PCI audio cards. Your church may even have it. Who ever bought probably picked it up as part of the Omni Studio Bundle or as an add on to their Delta card. Alone, it is almost useless. IT will also work with a Quattro USB AUdio interface, but you'll be much happier with the performance of the PCI card.
