Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum and am hoping someone will be able to help.
Recently bought Wizoo Darbuka and installed the AU version on my G5 Mac (10.4.7) but the interface for Darbuka seems to have some graphics missing. The facade itself is black in most places where there should be a background and names of the various controls, i can see the buttons and levers but nothing else.
I had installed a demo version before, which worked without this problem, but decided to uninstall it using the instructions given in the manual (deleting all relevant files) before installing from the DVD.
I do notice that a Darbuka.rtas file is missing from where it was before in the demo version's setup. I don't know if this is the problem.
I hope this is clear enough for someone to help me. M-Audio support line is not running today, or for the weekend i fear so i can't contact them directly, and i doubt they will reply to the email i sent them any time soon. Hope someone out there knows what i should do.
Many Thanx

hello again,
just to add a few things i've noticed after playing around with the program.
some styles are missing fills (green colour keys) which do not play. not sure if this is normal...

Hallo. I do have the same problem within Logic Pro 7.1.1. (I am attacching a screenshot).
I have both Darbuka and Latigo since they came out. This problem is new to me since I made a fresh installation of OS 10.4.7.
However, on the other Hard drive which also contains OS 10.4.7 this problem does not occur.
Let me explain: I have two system Hard Drives, (both are the same Western Digital 74GB Raptors).
My "old" sytem HD contains OS X 10.4.7 and it has been updated consecutively since OS 10.4.0. I remember there was quite huge "combo" 10.4.5 update...
On this drive I installed Darbuka and Latigo from DVDs, than updated with the first available updates (at that time it was from wiZoo). Everything was working smoothly. I also installed the Darbuka and Latigo software update for OS 10.4.5 from M - Audio web site and even after I updated my OS to 10.4.6 and 10.4.7 , both Darbuka & Latigo are working fine.
My "new" system drive contains OS 10.4.7 and it was installed by a friend of mine so I do not know the installation steps now. He installed the system with only English language and he disabled a lot Fonts also. I installed drivers and other necessary up-to date software as Apple's Pro Application Support 3.1. Than LogicPro 7.0 with 7.1 upgrade and 7.1.1 update....
Than Darbuka & Latigo from the DVD and than finally latest update from M-Audio website .
The problem occurs everytime I try to insert and view Darbuka or Latigo plugin OR if I want to see already inserted one in case I open existing project with one of those plugins already inserted....
this leads to several questions:
1/ WiZoo (M-Audio updates).
Shall we update our Darbuka & Latigo software in steps or is it OK if we simply install the latest possible update-because it overwrites the previous updates anyway?
2/ There is no possible update for OS 10.4.7 BUT as both Darbuka & Latigo are working fine on my "old" Hard drive I have no idea what is wrong?
PS-all other plugins (Elemental Audio, URS, WavesSSL, UAD, Halion etc etc) are working fine on my both "old" and "new" system drives and LogicPro 7.1.1

yes, we seem to have the same exact problem. I don't know what's happening either. The funny thing is that the demo version was working fine, and I hadn't upgraded anything on my Mac when I installed Darbuka from the DVD.
Have you contacted M-Audio at all? I think I will try them again on monday, but I fear they will say that their products don't support 10.4.7

Hallo. I did not contact them yet - I found it out yesterday as I was installing apps and plugins to my new HD with fresh 10.4.7. I really do not who to contact as I was talking only to guy from wiZoo when I had a little problem after I bought the plugins. Please can you be so kind and let me know if you will make a contact with anybody from M-Audio? (it seems you already talked to someone?). If they will say the plugins do not support 10.4.7 let them see my description that on my one HD which contains 10.4.7 it works fine...
Thank you.

hey. haven't spoken to anyone yet. emailed m-audio support and called their UK helpline but there was a message saying they were closed (probably for the weekend) and to try later. will do so tomorrow. the message also said that m-audio products aren't supported on OSX 10.4.7 yet and to wait for updates in the next few weeks.
you should try contacting m-audio support in the country you're in aswell. you can find the number through support links on m-audio.com
i'll keep you updated and please do the same too. i'm sure we can get it sorted soon

hey velvet,
have spoken to support and they have emailed me details of how to fix the problem, which involves exchanging the resources folder in your Darbuka.vst package. it was simple and fixed the problem!!
if you're still trying to get it fixed Private Message me or somehow leave me your email address and I will forward you the email I got.

Just to let know for others who would encounter this problem- send email to M-Audio support, they will send you info how to solve this problem. It is easy and now everything works well under 10.4.7. In my case- I emailed M-Audio Germany support at around 5 PM and sooner than in one hour I found a reply with the solution in my mailbox! That is fantastic support!
So I would like to say thanks to M-Audio support (probably still the WiZoo people in "my case" who always have been very fast and helpfull...). And thanks to immortallion too.
cheers
