I am having a problem getting CD's or DVD's to play without audio glitching on my XP SP2 machine. I have tried a variety of programs to play back CD's in and they all glitch. The strange this is if I copy the files to my computer they play back fine. I have a DVD drive and a CD-R drive and both show the same problem so I don't think it is a bad drive. Audio also seems to playback fine if I select my AC 97 driver instead of my M-Audio driver. This happens with both the analog and spdif outputs of the M-audio card. I have followed the recomendations about changing the settings on your CD/DVD drive in device manager but to no avail. Since it works using AC 97 driver I am suspect to the M-Audio driver. Another strange this is I believe up to a few months ago it was working correctly and I did not change anything. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..
