I have a Delta 1010 that I use with Cubase SX. I get this Really Loud Buzzing Noise that Blasts through my Monitors. It's a Constant Noise. This has happened in the past, and I tried everything. Changing the PCI slot that the Card was installed to, Re-Installing, Restarts, Driver Updates, etc,...

It would stop only when I smacked the BreakOut Box a bit. It hadn't happened in a few months. But it started up again recently. After the usually smacking of the Breakout box for a temporary fix, it is now not stopping. The smacking of the breakout box no longer works. I've tried, once again, to reinstall drivers, shut down pc for a while, change pci slot, remove all other devices on other pci slots, etc,...To No Avail. This is starting to become a REAL pain in the ass. Especially now that it's not stopping at all, and I had to have this Project I'm working on done by tomorrow morning.

Has anyone else had this problem? What can I do? Please Help.

Slight Update:

I just got it to stop, by laying the Breakout Box Vertical. It's sitting straight up on it's face, with the connections coming out the top. Any movemen't towards setting it back down, and the noise blasts through the speakers again. I can deal with this for now I guess. Just to finish this project. But I really don't want to deal with having to do this every time. This seams like a Hardware problem.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks,
-Tony-

hi,

please do check your cable connectors... open them up and see if no connections have come loose... else it could be something come loose inside the 1010.... if its passed its warrenty period then u could open it and take a look in... else just take it back to the service point...

cheers...

I must say, as a 1010 user myself this does seem strange as they are of very rugged construction, I did notice that the break out box gets quite hot when in use though.

Just incase you are out of your warrenty phase and judging by the symptoms you describe, I would hazard a good guess at it being a dry solder joint on one of the internal components (possibly a bad earth or a loose capacitor which is tightly mounted to the board).

Hope this helps

Yes, this sounds like a hardware issue. The best bet is to call our Tech Support team. They'll trouble shoot to be sure it is a hardware issue, then put you in touch with the Repairs department to get it fixed.
