OSX Software

Would appreciate any current input on Audio/Midi/Post Pro Software. I was all psyched up over MOTU's DP but the delays have become absurd and cause for concern. Apple owned Logic, as I understand it, is a decent yet secular application with a killer learning curve. Steinberg is somewhat outside the Mac loop. Any advice?

I came from a protools pre midi and studiovision pro setup, I didnt have to learn anything new... it was like those two programs put together

hardware is cheap too.

I run Cubase VST 32 [Mac, of course] with a MOTU 2408 MkII. Love the 2408 MK II and will likey spring for the 2408 Mk III this year. However, I am eagerly awaiting what MOTU will offer in the new DP for Mac OSX. I know many people are anxious, and some upset about how long it's taking. I suspect they are taking their time to get it right. I'm tired of being a beta tester for software that doesn't quite perform as advertised. If MOTU releases a stable DP for OSX, that does what it claims, and has decent documentation then it will be worth the wait. Remember that fable about the turtle and the hare?
