Alright. I do all my midi work on a seperate canvas, and have all my instruments layered, tempo-d as a whole midi file.

so its drums, bass, guitar, strings etc in one of my standard song.

i import this midi file into cubase, rewire into reason. Create a synth in reason and select finger bass patch.

Go back into cubase, hookup the bass track with the synth i created.

The timing is way off. (i turn on microsoft midi mapper for drums, strings, guitar, just to work on the reason bass, get picture of how it'd sound with the other instruments.)

Any help with the tempo issue?

Thanks.

Would it not be easier to just create everything with Cubase from start to finish? Anyway, it may be that you have quantizing enabled on your midi file.

Thanks, everything's solved now. Got new problems though

Ok, mainly, its the midi drum maps. The drums i have composed in midi are of a different map.

The reason (redrum) map only supports (on the piano roll) from C1 to A1. Some of my drum midi info is off range, thus i have to re-shift the drum parts.

For example, my snare is on B1, which is off range, i have to shift all my B1s to C1s to get it in range. The problem is, i have to do this one by one, going in the list editor and change every note of B1 to C1. I have tried dragging the main "red bar" on the piano roll, but its not effective as other parts of the drums are selected as well.

Is there in anyway to change the notes all in one go with the list editor or something?
