Setting up second hard drive

I have a second drive installed and by all appearences the drive was never set up within the system. Both drives are listed in the BIOS. When searching for the second drive, I found it in computer management>disk management. The drive is listed as unallocated, so it seems that I need to set it up. I want the drive to be for audio files only. As I have never done this before I would appreciate some help. I'd rather do it right than ask for help when I screw it up.:rolleyes:

Start > control panel > administrative tools > computer management > storage > disk management..... Right click on new drive, create/format new partition.
