vst problems?

I use Cubase SX...and when i use ANY VST if i hit stop, then play again, the instrument i selected changes...it always goes back to the same one..please help as it is driving me crazy

in case someone else has this problem...


i figured it out last night..heh..the midi files i was importing...at the begining of the each track there was something there that would change the instrument... all i did was deleted the begining of the midi file right up to where it starts to play notes...and that fixed it :)
