It may be an outdated concept but it has always been my habit to keep all unnecessary crap off of my taskbar so there is nothing extra running in the background while I am using processor-hungry audio apps. I can disable qttask.exe in msconfig but the next time I use Quicktime it becomes enabled again. Does anybody have any suggestions for how to keep it permanently disabled?

Thanks for your help.

Get rid of Quicktime altogether and use the alternative instead...less of a resource hog.......

Same goes for RealPlayer....
