Hey guys and gals. I have a quick question about MP3's. I am making available for download a spoken message that is about an hour long. is there anyway that I can insert tracks to a mp3 so people can track through the contect instead of having to start from the begining when it is stopped? Can I use the meta data some how to get this to work?

Thanks,

Vito

I'm not terribly famaliar with doing mp3 things, but I know that two separate operations can probably achieve your ends. Three are a number of programs to divide mp3s into multiple files which can be played sequentially, and other applications to package them all together as a single download. There is a great deal of information about many aspects of mp3s at

What you probably need to do is divide the original hour into numbered (and named if you want) "chapters", then create an m3u playlist that points to them (the individual mp3s, in order). You might want to offer the whole set zipped in a folder for complete download, also.

I'm basically adding a couple of details to what AndyH has said.
