drivers for lexicon omega/advice

Hi,
My son is using a lexicon omega, having trouble with getting low or no sound, hiss & hum. No fun. So, I was wondering if any 3rd party places have asio drivers that'd work better than lexicon? Any other troubleshooting advice?

It's a USB 1.1 interface, so you're not going to get a whole lot of thru-put, but you should be getting fine volume for recording, if you've got it all setup correctly. How you do that depends on what you're doing. As for the ASIO drivers, you are better off with the supplied ASIO drivers. Check on their web site for any possible updates...

Post back with your computer specs and how and what you're recording and someone might be able to spot any system problem you might have...
