I was wondering if there is a way that a Reason track or song can be exported to an mono file instead of a stereo file. I am wanting to export mono tracks and drag into cubase tracks for editing. I haven't found a way to export this way. If it is possibe and you know a way, please let me know. Thanks!!!

You can/(must?) record to cubase, eg each instrument on its own track. If you want mono, fix routing in reason to play it as you want it.

Is it possible to route the midi reaon files (audio part) directly into a Cubsae audio track during real time? In otherwords, when using Rewire, can the tracks be recorded directely from a Reason track, directly going to a selected Cubase audio track? I am trying to seperate the audio tracks for editing in Cubase. At the moment, I am having to export each instrument, which becomes a stereo track, drag it into its own audio track in Cubase. This is very time consumming. Most of the tracks that I am need, need only to be in mono format. Hopefully, this is not too confusing. Thanks for your assistance!!!

First you have to set up your soundcard with multiple asio inputs (say 1-8)
Same thing in Cubase, Device\vst connection\ add buses - eg 8 stereo IN and 8 stereo OUT.
Then set rewire channels (cubase): Device\Reason - lets say you enable 5 stereo rewire channels.
(mix L and R are output channel 1 and 2)
Now you make a Reason project with:
(eg i use 1 mixer witch is connected to rewire channal 1 and 2 for drums and perc - Reason mixer 2, for bass(es) connected to rewire channel 3/4 (Reason: hardware interface 3/4)
....other instuments for rewire channel 5/6, 7/8 and 9/10
Playback your Reason song, and you see the vu's move for rewirechannels used,
and these can be recorded "live" into Cubase, in this case drums in IN 1 and bass IN 2 and so on.
By using a Reason mixer for every "group", it's easy to mute single instruments and this way record all instruments in 2-3 turns if you want individual wavetracks
Good luck
and it would be better for me to explain this in norwegian, but probably not for you :D
(as to mono / stereo - you can record subgroups like 2-3 subtracktors and malstroms together in 1 stereo track
......
or direct a monosignal to rewire channel 3 - witch is Cubase IN 2 Left
But panning is so easy (and easy to overdo) in Reason, so i find it best to use stereofiles for everything.
These things is somewhat a hardware thing. use of harddisk, cpu etc

Cool!!! I will try this and see if I can get it working. I believe I understand exactly what you are saying on routing the channels. I have been swampted at work the last couple of days, and just now have I had the time to chec k my emails. I will keep you posted on how things go. Again, Thanks for the guidance...!
