Hi everyone,
I have Nuendo 3.0 running on windows XP. This Workstation has a Soundscape Mixtreme soundcard (TDIF I/O and SPDIF I/O). It also has a ATI FireGL 4 Graphics card for dual head display.
I use this configuration for the production of Audio for DVD, so I also have a Video Workstation and a 3D Workstation.
A) In your opinion, is there anything important missing in my Audio Workstation configuration?
B) I want a controller that allows me to:
1: Connect several devices as inputs (camcorders, microphones, my 3 workstations, and a Tascam DA-88)
2: Output to my Mixtreme soundcard, which only has SPDIF and TDIF (or ADAT (through the SS810-2 bay).
3: Output to 5.1 Surround Speakers around the room.
4: Have DAW control over Nuendo 3.0
Which Mixer/Controller would you recommend: Yamaha O3D or O1V? I have good chances of buying one of them at a low price. O1V96 is not a choice for me at the moment for financial reasons.
... Or would you recommend another one?
