Hi,

I've been recording lectures and vocal audios on my PC for a couple of years on a regular hardware. Now I want to move to some quality outputs.

Basically, I record Islamic audios, which do not contain any music, or drum beating stuff, so all I get to play with, is Voice, and effects.

My current Config is :

PC : 2.4b P4 533 FSB,
512 333mhz DDR,
HDD1 : WD-Caviar 120 GB
HDD2 : Seagate 40 GB 5400 RPM
Sound Card : Built in Stereo (Soundmax)

Externals :

Mic : Seiko UDM-585
Amp : Kenwood - A23-3351-02 Surround
Cassette Deck : Technics
Stereo Sony Mega Bass speakers + 800 Watt Turando Subwoofers

Most of my editing works are on
Adobe Audition 1.5 and n-Track Studio 4

Presently, Im not satisfied with the quality of Voice(vocals) I get from my current system. So was thinking of getting a better deal.

What would you guys suggest for something that should come within 100$ for quality.

I can purchase stuff either from Pakistan, or (Toronto) Canada.

Thanx for any help

As a guess, going by what you say in your post, you might need closer and/or more mic coverage in order to get a better volume input from the speaker. A small mixer might also be required in order to get more mics input to the computer. Are you at a school or university that allows "free" recording? Perhaps the institution & you could work out a deal where you make copies available free to other students? Then they might allow you to place a mic at the podium, or even several mics around the room. The institution might even have equipment available?
