828 vs 2408

I just got a dual G4 800 with Digital Performer and I have a G4 400 powerbook. I have been using a Korg 1212 card for audio and have been happy with it but would like to have something that would allow more inputs and hopefully be usable with the laptop. i am looking at the Motu 828 ot 2408. What I am wondering is what the sound quality of the 828 is as compared to the 2408 or the Digi 0001 for that matter. Any thoughts?

The 828 and 2408 have the exact same convertors, so audio quality between them should be the same.

The Digi001's audio specs aren't as good as the MOTU interfaces. Both the 828 and 2408 have 7db more dynamic range at the analog ins and outs.

2408 (unbalanced) sound like an ADAT, to me and to other users I know...
